Medical disclaimer
We want you to train for decades. That starts with knowing what this app is, and what it isn't.
Education, not treatment
Everything in Procutta gives general information for healthy adults: exercise guides and animated demonstrations, workouts and suggestions, calorie and macro targets, recipes, and AI meal estimates. It is not medical advice, and it doesn't replace diagnosis or treatment by a qualified professional.
Talk to a professional first if…
- you have a heart, lung, metabolic or other medical condition, or take medication that affects exercise or diet;
- you are pregnant or postpartum;
- you have a current injury, pain, or a history of joint or spinal problems;
- you have, or have had, an eating disorder (calorie tracking may not be right for you);
- you have diabetes, kidney disease or another condition where exact carbohydrate, protein or sodium amounts matter;
- you are under 18, or returning to exercise after a long break.
Stop if something hurts
Muscle fatigue is normal; sharp, shooting or joint pain is not. Stop straight away, and seek medical help if you have chest pain, dizziness, faintness or unusual shortness of breath.
Animations and injury-safe filters
Exercise animations show general technique on a simplified figure, so your range of motion and setup may need to differ. Injury-safe filters hide exercises that commonly load a body region, but they can't account for your individual history. Use your judgment and professional guidance.
AI meal estimates
Photo-based calorie and macro estimates are approximations from a single image. They can miss hidden oil, sugar, sauces or ingredients under other food, and can misjudge portion size. Don't use them to dose insulin or manage any medical diet, and don't rely on them to detect allergens.
Recipes and allergies
Recipe nutrition values are estimates for the listed ingredients. Check every ingredient yourself for allergies and intolerances, including nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, soy, fish, shellfish and sesame. Dietary labels such as vegetarian or vegan reflect the listed ingredients, so check packaged products yourself.
Nutrition targets
Calorie and macro targets are calculated from standard equations and the details you provide. Individual needs vary. A registered dietitian can tailor nutrition to your medical needs.
