Drain the soaked dal and blend with green chilli, hing, turmeric, salt and a splash of water into a smooth, pourable batter.

Mix the crumbled paneer with tomato, capsicum, coriander, cumin and a pinch of salt.

Heat a non-stick tawa, smear a little ghee and spread a ladle of batter into a thin round.

Cook until the edges lift and the base is golden, then flip.

Spoon paneer filling over half, fold and cook another minute. Repeat with the remaining batter.

Serve hot with green chutney or plain yogurt.
